In June Zvezdochka Shipyard has been awarded several state contracts from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade for the design of marine propulsion systems under the FTP “Development of Civilian Marine Engineering,” the shipbuilder’s press service said.
The contracts worth more than RUB 600 million include designing, manufacturing and testing of a prototype of 9-MWrudder propeller to be installed on icebreaking ships of 21900M project.
In addition, the company will perform development work on projects DRC-2500 and DRK1000G (design and manufacture of rudder-propeller of capacity of 2.5 MW and 1 MW), development of advanced screw repair technologies).
Severodvinsk-based Shipbuilding Center ‘Zvezdochka’ is a diversified shipbuilding enterprise.
