Western Center of Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has purchased in an auction held on July 4, 2012 shares of JSC Baltic Shipyard, the Corporation said on Wednesday.
The auction was held on behalf of the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo) and in accordance with the Moscow bailiffs Department decision on the transfer of the debtor's property sale.
The USC unit acquired 971,524 shares for RUB 224 million, which is 2 million rubles (bid step) more than the stake’s SOB.
United Shipbuilding Corporation, founded in 2007, incorporates three regional shipbuilding centers: JSC Western Shipbuilding Center (St. Petersburg), JSC Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (Severodvinsk), JSC Far Eastern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (Vladivostok), and several leading marine design offices. United Shipbuilding Corporation owns a 50% stake in Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, a joint venture with STX Finland Cruise Oy.
