Wednesday bunker prices climb further

Bunker prices continued to make strong gains on Wednesday with many ports reporting further double-digit gains, Ship & Bunker reports.

In Asia, IFO380 in Singapore and Hong Kong rose for a fifth consecutive day, gaining $9.00 to $602.00 per metric tonne (pmt) and $6.00 to $610.50 pmt respectively.

In Europe, IFO380 prices in Fos, Genoa, Istanbul and Piraeus all made double-digit gains of $18.50, $24.00, $22.50, and $19.00 respectively.

Rotterdam 380 cSt product moved up for an eighth consecutive day gaining $4.00 to $580.00, while MGO, rising for a seventh day, gained $5.50 to put the price at $872.00.

Fujairah IFO380 made gains for the fifth consecutive day, the price moving up $6.50 to $606.00 pmt, while MGO fell $1.50 to $1004.00.

Houston saw IFO380 made a double-digit gain, the price moving up $15.00 to $588.50, and MGO gained $8.00 to put the price at $898.50 pmt.

LA / Long Beach IFO380 dropped $3.50 to $598.00 while MDO moved up $6.50 to $1046.00.

U.S. crude markets were closed today for the national Independence Day holiday.
