Bunker prices continue to rise Thursday

Bunker prices continued to rise Thursday, but the gains seen in many ports were less than the double-digit jumps seen earlier in the week, Ship & Bunker reports.

Singapore and Hong Kong had a sixth consecutive day of gains for IFO380, prices moving up $9.50 to $611.50 per metric tonne (pmt) and $17.00 to $627.50 pmt respectively.

Rotterdam IFO380 gains were for a ninth consecutive day, the price rose $11.50 to $591.50, while MGO moved up $14.50 to $886.50 pmt.

Jeddah and Damman posted new prices effective on Thursday, IFO380 dropping $10.00 to $665.00 in Jeddah and gaining $5.00 to $585.00 pmt in Damman.

Fujairah IFO380 gained for the sixth consecutive day, the price moved up $9.00 to $615.00 pmt the highest price seen since $616.00 on June 15, 2012.

Houston saw both IFO380 and MGO gain for a seventh consecutive day, the price moving up $2.00 to $590.50 and $8.00 to $906.50 respectively.

LA / Long Beach 380 cSt product gained $2.00 moving the price to $600.00, while MDO moved up $1.00 to $1047.00 pmt.

The WTI spot price dropped $0.44 to close at $87.22 per barrel following yesterday's market closure.
