Oil shipments via Port of Baku drops 25 percent

Oil cargo exports through the Port of Baku (Azerbaijan) in the first half of 2012 fell 25% from a year earlier, to 670,000 tons, vesti.az. reports.
The decline in oil shipments was attributed to redirection of traffic to the Sangachal-based oil terminal.

In 2011, oil cargo traffic through the Port of Baku totaled 1.74 million tons.
