Nobel Bros Shipyard lays keel of oil barge of ROB07 project for LORP
Nobel Brothers Shipyard on July 10, 2012 held an official keel-laying ceremony for the 4400DWT double-hull oil barge of project ROB07 ordered by Lena United River Shipping Company. The shipyard will build two vessels of the project, the vessel designer Marine Engineering Bureau said.
The project ROB07 designer took into account the requirements of International MARPOL Convention and special requirements of Russian and international oil companies. The double-bottom and double-sided vessel is designed for transportation crude oil and petroleum products with no flashpoint limit.
The specialized tankers and dry cargo vessels concept was developed by MEB in accordance with the results of the research for the Arctic regions under the Federal Program "Development of Civilian Marine Engineering" for 2009-2016.
Russian River Register of Shipping class - KE (*) R3-RSN Oil tanker (ESP). The barge hull has «Ice1» class.
The vessels of project ROB07 satisfy waterway conditions, of the Lena River basin, and dimensions of Volga-Don Canal, Volga-Baltic waterway.
Length overall - 95.23 meters, breadth overall - 16.8 m, depth - 5.0 m. Capacity of twelve cargo tanks and two slop tanks - 4670 cbm, deadweight - 4403 tons at 3.60 m draught.
