Maersk Line is raising rates on most of its Asia routes with a fresh round of general rate increases due to kick in 1 August, Seatrade Asia online reports.
From Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia to Australia rates will rise $300 per teu and $600 per feu. Meanwhile for Far East to West Africa rates will increase by $150 per teu and to South Africa and Indian Ocean islands, the rate will go up by $300 per teu and $600 per feu.
Maersk also announced rate hikes of $500 per teu and $1,000 per feu on its Far East Asia to the east coast of South America routes commencing from July 15.
