Taiwan-based Sincere Navigation has ordered two 82,000 dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers for $27m apiece, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The new dry bulk vessels will be built at China's Shanghai Jiangnan-Changxing Shipbuilding with deliveries slated in June and September 2014, respectively.
“There is a possibility that our company may place more newbuildings. It may be kamsarmax or capesize ships,” said an official from Sincere Navigation. The official added that the company is taking advantage of low newbuildings prices to expand its fleet.
