Greatship Global Offshore Services has taken delivery of a platform/remotely operated vehicle (ROV) support vessel from Colombo Dockyard in Sri Lanka, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The DP2 vessel Greatship Roopa will be deployed to support offshore exploration and production.
Greatship Global Offshore Services is a subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited, which in turn is wholly owned by The Great Eastern Shipping Company.
With the delivery of Greatship Roopa, Greatship (India) Limited and its subsidiaries currently own and/or operate four platform supply vessels (PSVs), nine anchor handler tug supply (AHTS) vessels, three multipurpose platform supply and support vessels (MPSSVs), four ROV support vessels and two jack-up rigs.
They also have an orderbook of two ROV support vessels in Sri Lanka and one 350-feet jack-up rig in Dubai.
