Using Turkey’s Trabzon port for cargo transportation to Armenia and from the country is in our interests, former MP, economist Vardan Bostanjyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to him, today Armenia is “grasped” in terms of communication which is explained to certain extent by closed Armenia-Turkey border.
“I cannot but welcome the initiative even if it has a political implication. It may open for Armenia a new access to the hub through which we can be closer to Europe,” he told the agency.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, the head of Turkish Trabzon port stated that the port is ready to serve cargos sent to and received from Armenia.
Asked about the likelihood of cargo transportation from Trabzon port, Bostanjyan said that “everything is possible”.
