Gazprom is considering getting J.P.Morgan involved in deal-making aimed at expanding its international footprint, Russia's gas giant said in a statement released in the follow-up to a meeting between Gazprom's Deputy Chairman Andrey Kruglov and James Dimon, Chairman, President & CEO of J.P.Morgan Chase&Co.
The two companies discussed cooperation opportunities pointing to the high level of J.P.Morgan's involvement in Gazprom's efforts to tap the global capital markets, as well as their collaboration in Eurobond issues.
According to earlier reports, Gazprom recently placed a five-year EUR 750m bond at 3.76%, and a ten-year USD 1bn bond at 4.95%.
