Gazprom Neft, one of Russian top five oil majors, is considering the acquisition of retail chains at home and in Asia, Alexander Krylov, director of the company’s directorate for regional sales, told reporters on Friday.
“Primarily, we are interested in assets in the cities of Krasnoyarsk and Nizhny Novgorod, and Asia – Kazakhstan, Tajikistan,” Krylov said, adding that Gazprom Neft is holding negotiations in the regions.
Krylov said that Ukraine, where the company has recently opened its first gasoline station, is also of interest to Gazprom Neft. It is now building three more filling stations along the Kiev–Odessa highway.
