The railroad tariff increase that takes effect in 2009 will not be revised but may be introduced in phases, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov told journalists on Thursday according to Interfax.
"We don't plan to reduce the tariff increase for 2009 approved earlier. But having the increases phased in is another matter," he said.
Various options are being considered, Zhukov said, but he declined to comment on the timing of the increases.
