Riga Port transit company Man-Tess transshipped 1.3 million tons of cargo in the first six months this year, which is almost as much as in the entire 2011 when the company handled 1.5 million tons of cargo, as Man-Tess CEO Karlis Andersons told the Nozare.lv business portal.
In the first five months, Man-Tess group's turnover reached LVL 2.8 million.
"The growth is obvious, and we expect that turnover this year will be higher than in 2011. In the first five months this year, the company's operating profit reached LVL 271,000, which is approximately what the company was anticipating at the beginning of the year," said Andersons.
Last year, Man-Tess turnover reached LVL 5.4 million, whereas Man-Tess group's consolidated net profit totaled LVL 321,609.
Man-Tess, which then belonged to Julijs Krumins, was sold to the Dutch company Alandam Capital last May.
Also last May, Andersons was appointed the company's CEO, reported LETA.
