At least 24 people have died after a Tanzanian ferry carrying about 280 passengers and crew sank near the island of Zanzibar, BBC reported.
Two of the victims were Europeans, a Zanzibar minister said. Officials say 145 people have been rescued, but dozens are still missing.
Rescuers have been at the scene and many people are still missing.
Back in September more than 200 people died when a crowded ferry sank off the coast of east Africa, that was the worst maritime disaster in the history of Zanzibar.
