The East Asian port of Hong Kong saw a decline in container throughput in June, according to figures released by Hong Kong's Marine Department.
The port handled 1.93m teu of boxes last month, a 6.8% drop from 2.07m teu recorded in the same period of 2011.
Month-on-month, throughput also dropped from 2.18m teu in May.
In the first six months of this year, Hong Kong moved a total of 11.77m teu of containers, down 0.7% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
