STX OSV wins $16mln contract

STX OSV, designer and shipbuilder of offshore and specialised vessels, has secured a new contract with Universal Shipbuilding Corporation to deliver six integrated diesel-electric propulsion packages, Seatrade Asia online reports.

The packages are for a series of ships under construction for Swire Pacific Offshore.

STX OSV's subsidiary STX OSV Electro won the contract which is worth approximately NOK100m ($16.4m).
