Malaysia-based Jasa Merin clinched contracts from oil major ExxonMobil to provide two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, Seatrade Asia online reports.
Both contracts are expected to commence in mid-July 2012 for an 18-month period, each with an option to extend for a further 12 months.
“The contracts which taken together are valued at approximately MYR35m for their primary term, are expected to contribute positively to Silk Group earnings and assets for the financial year ending 31 July 2012 and 2013,” said Silk Group, the parent company of Jasa Merin.
