Mitsubishi Heavy Industries renews engine licensing with HHI

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has renewed a technology licence on its low-speed marine diesel engines with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), Seatrade Asia online reports.

MHI seeks to further its presence in South Korea and boost its engines' share in the global market through this renewed licensing agreement.

The new agreement grants licensing privileges to HHI to manufacture, sell and service MHI's low-speed marine diesel engines.

In the area of marine equipment, the two companies have also collaborated in main engine turbines, cargo oil pumps and turbines, and turbochargers.
