Oil price down to $40.36 in London and to $38.98 in New York

In London, the Brent Crude contract was down $1.09 on December 23 to $40.36 per barrel on the ICE Futures exchange. Light Sweet Crude fell $0.93 to $38.98 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, RBC reports.
