Hapag-Lloyd Vietnam – 36 hours documentation cut-off
Effective September 10, 2012 Hapag-Lloyd Vietnam will offer an extended documentation (shipping instruction) cut-off time for deep sea export shipments from Vietnam. The documentation cut-off will be set at up to 36 working hours prior to the arrival of the vessel in port, the carrier press release said.
Here are the revised cut-off details for the VAX, AEX and LP1 services:
Asia-Med. – North America Eastcoast Express (AEX Service):
Vessel ETA: 06:00 AM Saturday
Documentation cut-off: 15:00 hrs Thursday
Europe – Asia Loop1 (LP 1 Service):
Vessel ETA: 06:00 AM Friday
Documentation cut-off: 15:00 hrs Wednesday
Vietnam America Express (VAX Service):
Vessel ETA: 01:00 AM Tuesday
Documentation cut-off: 16:00 hrs Friday

"In offering an extended SI cut–off time, we wish to highlight the importance of data accuracy to ensure that the respective manifesting and loading of cargo is able to take place timely in accordance to customs ruling. A failure to supply accurate data at time of SI cut-off could result in cargo not being loaded due to missing or inaccurate detail," the Company said.
Examples of accurate data include (but not limited to) SCAC Codes, ACI Codes, House Bill details, H.S. Codes, Container Numbers and Container Seals etc.
