  COSCO sets up joint ventures in Europe and America

  

  COSCO Shipping has announced yesterday that it has established two joint ventures in the Netherlands and the US separately with NMA Maritime & Offshore Contractors B.V, SinoShipNews reports.
  
  COSCO said the joint ventures are based on more than twenty-five years of cooperation with NMA Maritime & Offshore Contractors in providing shipping service for offshore and heavy lift project cargoes, and the two companies have decided to further strengthen their relation by forming the two joint ventures which will continue to provide top class heavy lift services.
  
  COSCO Shipping operates a large fleet of both semi-submersible vessels and conventional heavy-lift vessels. After the acquisition of COSCO Guangzhou which was announced last week, it will further expand its multi-purpose vessel fleet according to its strategy of becoming a leading player in the global multi-purpose shipping industry.
