Russian Gov’t to consider Big Port St. Pb checkpoint draft order
The draft order on the establishment of the Big Port of St. Petersburg intra-port checkpoint has been submitted for consideration to the Russian Government, the Russian Border Services Agency (Rosgranitsa) said. The checkpoint will be created by combining two existing border crossing points.
The draft order proposes to close as of February 1, 2013 the state border crossing point based on the Kotlin Island, Kronstadt, a post in Litke Base, which infrastructure will be utilized for the combined checkpoint in Big Port St. Petersburg.
Previously, the Russian Government had defined the territory of Big Port St. Pb including in its boundaries a permanent cargo and passenger crossing point Kronshtadt, Kotlin Island and Litke Base post.
