RF Government establishes customs dues for second-hand specialized mototransport vehicles

RF Government has established the customs duties on imported second-hand specialized mototransport vehicles. The Decree on introduction of amendments to Russia’s customs duty rates was signed by RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the Government’s press center reports. The Decree comes into effect after a month from its official publication.

The Decree establishes the customs duty of EUR 4.4 for 1 cm3 of the engine. The category of specialized vehicles comprises firefighting vehicles, agitator trucks, motor drilling equipment, breakdown trucks, automobiles for concrete pumping etc.

The rates for import of new specialized vehicles are left at 5% of customs value (for – firefighting vehicles and  automobiles for concrete pumping); 10% of customs value of customs value (automobiles for concrete pumping and other); 15% of customs value (motor drilling equipment and breakdown trucks); 25% of customs value (agitator trucks).

It should be reminded that establishment of import duties for second-hand foreign cars resulted in considerable decrease of import in the Far Eastern ports.
