In January-February 2009, Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC handled 13.7412 million tonnes of cargo (+13.8%, year-on-year), the company states.
In the reported period, transshipment of liquid bulk cargo В отчетном периодеперевалка increased by 17.7% to 9.7895 million tonnes including 7.5043 million tonnes f crude (+15.6%) and 2.2141 million tonnes of oil products (+31.9%).
Transshipment of dry bulk totaled 2.0064 million tonnes (up 2-fold) including 1.1547 million tonnes of grain (up 2.4 times), 233,200 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-8.9%), 168,800 tonnes of sugar (-7.9%), 439,200 tonnes of ore and iron ore concentrate (up 10-fold), 10,500 tonnes of cement (down 5.6 times).
In the reported period, transshipment of general cargo fell by 16.4% to 1.650 million tonnes including 1.242 million tonnes of ferrous metal (-20.1%), 93,900 tonnes of timber (-46%), 173,300 tonnes of non-ferrous metal (+3%), 84,500 tonnes of cast iron (up 5.1 times). Container throughput of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port amounted to 35,900 TEU (-33.1%) with the worst decrease registered at the terminal of BSC in Kaliningrad. Container throughput of the Group’s terminal in Novorossiysk fell by 4,500 TEU (or 11%).
