The rate restoration primarily covers the trade to and from the Far East and Europe, including North Europe, the Mediterranean and Black Sea region.
Effective April 1, the increases for dry and reefer cargo will be:
-- $275 per TEU from the Far East to Europe;
-- $100 per TEU from Europe to the Far East;
-- $50 per 20-foot container and $75 per 40-foot/40-foot High Cube from Europe to the Red Sea, the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Subcontinent.
In a separate notice, the Middle East carrier said it plans to increase rates for shipments from the West Mediterranean origins (Italy, South of France, Spain and the Adriatic) to base ports on the U.S. East Coast (New York, Norfolk and Savannah).
Effective April 15, the increases on the routes will be $200 per TEU and $250 per FEU.
