Transas has completed the modernization of communication system for LUKOIL’s offshore platform at Yuri Korchagin field, Transas press center informs.
It is noted, that the entire range of works comprising the supply and assembling of the equipment, start-up and adjustment works as well as witness tests was completed one month ahead of the schedule specified in the contract documents.
The field named after Yuri Korchagin is the North Caspian field brought commercially on-stream in March 2010. The ice-resistant fixed platform (LSP-1), built at the Astrakhansky Korabel
shipyard has a 560-tonne rig capable of drilling up to 7,400 meters wells. It was placed at the field in QIII of 2009. Field construction will include 26 production wells, three waterinjectors and one gas-injector. IНачало промышленной добычи нефти - март 2010 года.
