Hanjin Shipping Co., South Korea's largest shipping line, said Friday it plans to spend US$875 million this year to buy ships and build container terminals. The earmarked capital spending is up 17 per cent from last year's US$748 million, according to the company. Hanjin said earlier it plans to add 11 container vessels and 20 bulk carriers to its fleet by the end of 2012 to grab a bigger share of the global shipping market.
