COSCO Container Lines will implement an Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EIS) for all westbound shipments (include reefer cargo) for Far East to Yemen (Hodeidah/Aden) Service on Red Sea Trade and take effect from April 15, 2013, the shipping company said on Friday.
The EIS will be USD50 per TEU.
Far East include: China (mainland), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
