Black Sea ports exceed annual cargo handling in 150 mln t at the account of logistics - Mykola Azarov
The Black Sea ports significantly exceed annual handling of cargo in 150 mln tons at the account of logistics. According to web-portal of Ukrainian Government, this was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov in the interview to Hungarian mass media.
“Volumes of cargo handling in the national ports of the Black Sea amount 150 million tons year-on-year. And they can be significantly increased when we ensure corresponding logistics,” the Premier said.
“For us it is crucial to secure reliable transport flows between Ukraine and Europe. And Hungarian direction proves actual and profitable as it is the shortest way to the Central Europe,” he accentuated.
The head of Government reminded that for the two recent years artery roads Kyiv-Yagodyn and Kyiv-Lvivhave been modernized in Ukraine and now there is the turn of Hungarian logistic direction.
“I have raised this issue with the Prime Minister of Hungary and said if Hungary is ready to give us loans, we are ready to realize these projects rather fast,” Mykola Azarov informed.
According to him, “the funds can be partially issued by the European Union and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development”.
“Anyway, I consider this issue will be solved,” emphasized the head of Ukrainian Government.
