Maersk signs cooperation agreement with China's Baosteel

Denmark-based A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, operator of the world's largest container shipping fleet, last week signed a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with Baosteel Group, parent of China's largest steel maker, Baoshan Iron and Steel Co<600019>, sources reported.
According to agreement, Baosteel Group will provide Maersk with a various kinds of iron and steel products including container steel and shipbuilding steel.
Furthermore, both companies will develop environmentally friendly steel and steel products and will conduct technological innovation activities.
The agreement paves the way for a long-term partnership between the two companies.
