Ust-Luga Container Terminal launches electronic data interchange with Customs Service
Electronic data interchange between Ust-Luga Container Terminal and Russian Federal Customs Service is launched from April, 2013, states the press center of National Container Company (NCC).
The role of the data customs operator is being fulfilled by ROLIS LLC. On-line electronic reports are now available at Kingisepp Customs.
The new technology completely excludes paper flow of documents and facilitates cargo release procedure.
Ust-Luga Container Terminal is the second terminal of NCC Group to launch the electronic data interchange with the Federal Customs Service. From March 2013, it has been working at First Container Terminal.
Ust-Luga Container Terminal is a container terminal of NCC Group in Ust-Luga port. The construction is being implemented in three phases. The first phase was put into operation in 2011. The full-scale implementation will be completed by 2025 when the Terminal’s capacity will reach 2.85 mln TEUs. The capacity of the first phase is 440,000 TEUs, total area – 40 hectares, berth line length – 440 m, depth near berths – 13.5 m, capacity of container ground – 15,000 TEUs, capacity of refrigerated area – 840 sockets, handling equipment – 4 STS (Panamax), 11 RTG, 2 RMG. NCC operates Ust-Luga Container Terminal jointly with Eurogate.
