Tanker grounded off Norwegian coast

The chemical tanker Maria Soltin ran aground off the western Norwegian coast near Maaloy in Sogn og Fjordane early Sunday.
The 1972-built Danish-flagged double-hulled 1,132 dwt Maria Soltin is owned and managed by Norway's Soltin Shipment and is also operated by a Norwegian company, Norbroker Shipping & Trading.
The grounded tanker was “listing heavily” on its port-side, said rescue personnel who arrived on the scene.
According to The Norway Post on Monday, there were no signs of spillage or pollution from the tanker.
The tanker's crew of seven have been evacuated and tugs were in process of righting the grounded vessel.
