Poland intends to develop the shale gas production and the terminal of liquefied natural gas in Swinoujscie. As IAA PortNews journalist reports, Polish Deputy Prime Minister Janusz Piechociński told this journalists at the Baltic Sea Forum in St. Petersburg when commenting on his country’s opinion about the project on construction of Yamal-Europe-2 gas pipeline.
According to Janusz Piechociński, his country’s policy aims at diversification of gas supplies while the decision on the above mentioned gas pipeline can be taken only after the Russian side presents its details.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced earlier that Poland considers this pipeline to be a political project while Poland is not interested in increase of gas supplies from Russia.
