Aleksandr Gorbatko has been elected new Director General of Volgo-Don Shipping Company OJSC (Rostov-on-Don, part of Azov-and-Don Shipping Company) for three years. Earlier Aleksandr Gorbatko was acting head of thecompany.
According to the company’s materials, the authorities of Ivan Shapovalov, the Company’s Director General, were terminated ahead of time upon Shapovalov’s own decision by the shareholders’ resolution in lieu of an extraordinary meeting of shareholders held in March.
The shareholders also introduced amendments into the Company’s Charter, according to which Company’s head will be elected for three years. Earlier the head used to be elected for a period remaining from the term of the agreement with the previous head in case of the head’s pre-mature resignation.
Volgo-Don Shipping Company OJSC carries out international transportation from Russian ports as well as countries of the Azov, Black, Mediterranean, Caspian, Baltic and North Seas. The Company’s fleet of dry cargo carriers has total cargo capacity of some 86,000 tonnes.
