COSCON to optimize the Transpacific services

From the 20th week, 2013(mid of May), COSCON will take series of actions to optimize the structure of Transpacific loops to provide high quality and more reliable service to its customers, said in the company's press release.

The major actions are as followings:

SEA will improve the transit time from Yantian to Long Beach. Meanwhile, MD3 will additional call Xiamen with the facilitated and rapid service. Through the resource of CKYH Alliance, by adjustment of KL-PSW1 which Xiamen to be set the last Far East calling port, we render more transporting routes for company's customers.

8500TEU class vessels will be operated on CEN. COSCON will continuously provide high quality and rapid service from North China to USWC and Canada, connecting sea transport with railway to U.S. inland destinations at Prince Rupert. By slot swap, COSCON also provide the space on following loops:

COSCON reached goals by above measures and actions:

-More rapid transit time in Far East to PSW loops by COSCON
Yantian to Long Beach/Los Angeles: 14 days on SEA. On new HTW, the transit time is even faster as 13 days.
Xiamen to Long Beach: 13 days and 14 days on PSW1 and MD3 respectively as the leading rank of market.
Ningbo to Long Beach: Remain as 12 days on MD3. On PSW5, it will be 11 days.

-More competitive service frequency in Far East to PSW loops by COSCON
Service frequency via major Far East ports to Long Beach/Los Angeles:
Shanghai- 5 sailings per week
Yantain-5 sailings per week
Hong Kong-5 sailings per week
Ningbo-4 sailings per week
Xiamen-3 sailings per week
