Mid week bunker prices soft in North America

After a firm start to the week, Ship & Bunker data showed bunker prices were soft in North America on Wednesday.
Houston IFO380 ended its run of three consecutive market days of gains by falling $2.50 to $603.00 pmt. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) at the port moved down $6.00 to $656.00 putting its premium at $53.00 pmt, while MGO was down $5.50 to $971.50 pmt, but is still up $12.00 over the last week.
On the West coast, LA / Long Beach IFO380 moved down $2.50 to $615.50 per metric tonne (pmt), with LS380 slipping $1.50 to $804.00 to put its premium at $188.50 pmt. MGO moved down $13.00 to $1008.50 pmt.
In the East, New York IFO380 was steady at $610.50 pmt while LS380 dropped $4.00 to $648.00, making the premium for the low sulfur fuel $37.50 pmt. MGO edged down $0.50 to $994.00 pmt.
