Bunker prices in key ports head higher on Tuesday

Bunker prices on Tuesday ended the day higher in most key bunkering ports, with Ship & Bunker data showing some double-digit gains also being made.

Singapore IFO380 rose $5.00 to $603.00 per metric tonne (pmt) for a gain of $11.00 since Monday. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was up $6.00 to $699.00 for a week-on-week gain of $4.50 with a spread of $6.00 in that time. MGO at the port moved up $9.00 to $875.50 pmt, the second day of gains and up $16.50 in that time.

Rotterdam IFO380 rose $6.50 to $584.50 pmt to put the price $4.50 lower than this time last week. LS380 was up $7.00 to $613.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $28.50 pmt, while MGO climbed $11.50 to $855.50 pmt.

After two weeks of smaller, single-digit movements Fujairah IFO380 jumped up $11.50 to $612.00 pmt. MGO rose $2.50 to $1002.00 pmt for a change of just $-2.00 with a spread of $4.00 over the last week.

Houston IFO380 climbed $3.50 to $586.50 pmt for a gain of $7.00 so far this week, while LS380 edged up $0.50 to $639.50 pmt. MGO at the port was up $1.00 to $958.50 pmt, $13.50 lower than this time last week.
