Market sources reported good demand in New York today as firm prices on the U.S. East Coast put key grade IFO380 at the port up $2.00 to $592.50 per metric tonne (pmt).
The grade has gained $4.50 since last Monday, but is still down $14.50 pmt over the last month with a spread of $22.00 in that time.
Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was up for a fifth consecutive market day today, climbing $2.00 to $634.00 pmt, making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $41.50 pmt. However the product is still $52.00 lower over the last month.
MGO in New York was up $1.50 to $969.50 pmt today, just $0.50 lower than this time last week.
