Week ends with a big drop for IFO380 in Houston

Bunker prices in Houston ended the week making a relatively large downward shift, following crude to cancel out the gains made in the earlier part of the week, data from Ship & Bunker shows.

IFO380 prices at the port started the week strong, rising $17.00 per metric tonne (pmt) during the first three days, before dropping back $9.00 and $7.00 pmt on Thursday and Friday respectively, ending the week $1.00 higher than last Friday at $585.50 pmt.

Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) also fell $7.00 on Friday to end the week $3.50 lower week-on-week at $638.50 pmt.

After an almost uninterrupted run of rising prices for most of June, MGO in Houston slipped $4.50 on Thursday before ending the week with a big drop of $26.50 to $957.50 pmt, $32.00 lower than the previous Friday.
