Today is a big day for JSC Passenger Port St. Petersburg "Marine Façade". On August 1, 2013, seven cruise ships with a total of 14,500 passengers on board docked at the passenger terminal, the company said in a press release.
The luxury cruise liner Seven Seas Voyager with 700 tourists from the U.S. has moored at Pier No 2. According to Forbes, in 2006 the round-the-world cruise of the Seven Seas Voyager was the most expensive.
The MSC Poesia with 250 Russian tourists is another ship that arrived in St. Petersburg after a two-week trip to the Baltic ports and the Norwegian fjords. The vessel departures the port today with the same number of Russian passengers on board on the route.
Besides, there are five cruise ships at the port: Costa Fortuna, Norwegian star, Saga Ruby, Vision of the Seas and AIDAbella.
JSC Passenger Port St. Petersburg "Marine Façade" is 100%-owned by St. Petersburg government and is the largest marine passenger port in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. Currently, the passenger terminal can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of 311 meters in length and a draft of up to 9 meters. The length and depth of new access channels is 10 km and 11 meters. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall length is 2171.06 m.
