The LSC Abu Karim IV with a large consignment of highly productive breeding cows from the U.S. on July 30 arrived in the port of Ust-Luga, Rosagroleasing reports.
The heifers were purchased by Rosagroleasing for JSC Duminichsky Dairy (Kaluga region).
The livestock carrier delivered 1,234 heads of highly productive Holstein heifers shipped from the port of Wilmington.
At the port of Ust-Luga the heifers were inspected by Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) who found them in good condition in spite of the 2.5-week trip across the ocean.
Then the heifers were loaded onto cattle trucks and transported to the point of destination, Duminichsky Dairy in the village of Podborky.
