In January-July, 2013, Russian seaports handled 334.9 mln t of cargo (+4.5%, year-on-year), says Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry cargo hit 142.1 mln t (-1%) including 57.8 mln t of coal (+16%), 25.5 mln t of containerized cargo (+3.3%), 7.2 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+13.7%). Transshipment of ferrous metal fell to 13.2 mln t (-17.3%), ore – to 4.3 mln t (-3.8%), timber cargo – to 2.6 mln t (-29.6%), grain cargo – to 5.4 mln t (over 2 times).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo reached 192.8 mln t (+9%) including 120.5 mln t of crude oil (+8.2%).
In the 7-month period, Russian ports handled 262.6 mln t of export cargo (+3.6%, year-on-year), 27.4 mln t of import cargo (+7.9%), 26.7 mln t of transit cargo (+3.3%) and 18.1 mln t of coastal trade cargo (+16.3%).
Operators of sea terminals in the Arctic Basin handled 26.8 mln t of cargo (+32.9%, year-on-year) including 13.9 mln t of dry cargo (+1%) and 12.9 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (up 2-fold). The growth of liquid bulk cargo transshipment should be attributed to the increased volumes of crude handled by Belokamenka complex. Total throughput of port Murmansk het 17.7 mln t (up 42%), Varandey - 3 mln t (up 2.5 times), Arkhangelsk - 2.7 mln t (down 6.5%), Vitino - 2.2 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (the same as in the same period of 2012).
The ports of the Baltic Basin handled 123.5 mln t of cargo (+5.2%) including 46.6 mln t of dry cargo (+7.4%), 76.9 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+4%). Throughput of port Ust-Luga climbed 1.4 times to 34.3 mln t, Vysotsk - 9.6 mln t (+31.6%), Kaliningrad - 8.2 mln t (+13.3%). Throughput of port Primorsk fell by 14.3% to 38 mln t, Big Port St. Petersburg – by 1.8% to 32.7 mln t.
Seaports of Azov-Black Sea Basin handled 96.8 mln t (-3%) including 32.3 mln t of dry cargo (-16.3%), 64.5 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+5.4%). The port of Novorossiysk transshipped 65.6 mln t of cargo (-4.8%), Tuapse - 9.4 mln t (-11.6%), Rostov - 5.5 mln t (-5.4%), Kavkaz - 4 mln t (-9.1%), Taman - 4.3 mln t.
In the Caspian Basin, seaports handled 4.8 mln t (-22.7%) including 1.8 mln t of dry cargo (-39.3%) and 3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-8.1%). Throughput of port Makhachkala fell by 12.9%, Astrakhan – by 30.3%, Olya – down 2.8 times.
Operators of seaports in the Far East Basin handled 83 mln t (+7.9%) including 47.5 mln t of dry cargo (+6%), 35.5 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+10.7%). Port Vostochny handled 28.4 mln t (+19%), Vanino - 14 mln t (+18.9%), Nakhodka - 10.5 mln t (+5.5%), Vladivostok - 8.1 mln t (+3.6%), Prigorodnoye - 9.4 mln t (-2.4%), De-Castri - 3.8 mln t (-12.3%), Posiet 3.1 mln t (-8.4%).
