In January-July 2013, port Murmansk handled 17.7 mln t of cargo (+42%, year-on-year), says Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Commercial seaport of Murmansk is an ice-free port located at the eastern coast of the Kola Bay (Barents Sea). It is the home port of all nuclear icebreakers of Russia. The port is a part of special economic zone. It comprises a fishing port, a commercial port and a passenger port. In 2012, the port of Murmansk handled 23.7 mln t of cargo (-7.8%, year-on-year).
