In January-July, 2013, Port Vysotsky OJSC handled 2,776 ,932.8 t of Russian coal (+82.7%, year-on-year), press center of the stevedoring company says.
In July, the company handled 436,082 t of Russian coal.
Port of Vysotsk is located in the Leningrad region. There are currently two stevedore companies operating at the port’s terminals: Port Vysotsky LLC and RPK-Vysotsk-Lukoil-II Ltd. In May 2012, the Russian government decided to expand the Vysotsk port with new territories including those occupied by the construction site of a new sea terminal for handling of general cargo (with the capacity of up to 3 mln t). In 2012 the port’s throughput increased by 2%, year-on-year, to 13,634,200 tonnes.
