RS sets up expert group to provide new documentation services for marine ships in commission

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has set up an expert group to provide its customers with new documentation services related to marine ships in commission, says press center of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

The group’s competence covers the elaboration and consideration of documents related to determination of permissible dimensions for hull structure elements under RS Regulations;  validating of hull compliance to RS Regulations; application of enhanced survey programme to hull structures in compliance with Unified IACS Requirements (Z10.1, Z10.2, Z10.3, Z10.4, Z10.5, IMO Res. 744(18) with amendments); evaluation of ships’ stability under RS Regulations when accepting vessels to RS class.

According to the statement, from August 2013 ship owners will be able to order the elaboration or consideration of the mentioned documents directly from RS. 

“The new expert group has been established for convenience of RS customers and improvement of RS attractiveness among ship owners,” says Vladimir Baranov, Director General of RS Marine Department.
