A work group will be set up in Primorsk Territory to change the status of closed administrative-territorial entity (CATE) Bolshoy Kamen where a super shipyard Zvezda is supposed to be built, says press center of the territory administration.
“Unnecessary restrictions related to a special status of closed administrative-territorial entity should be cancelled. The legislation should be amended so that it would not hinder the city development and so that a large investor would come here. CATE status will be preserved but certain restrictions hampering the economic development will be cancelled,” explained the Territory Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky.
“CATE status amendments is a federal competence but a work group will be set up in the nearest days and I am ready to head it for a thorough discussion of this issue. CATE legislation requires adjustment. At the same time this status ensures considerable federal financing for Bolshoy Kamen: RUB 405 mln in 2013. And we wish to preserve those privileges with introduction of reasonable amendments. Dmitry Rogozin supported our initiative,” Vladimir Miklushevsky said.
