Delivery certificate signed for M/V Spasatel Kavdejkin

On August 19th, 2013, Delivery-Acceptance act for the second multipurpose salvage vessel of MPSV07 project "Spasatel Kavdejkin" was signed, says press center of Nevsky Shipyard LLC.

On August 7th, 2013 the vessel "Spasatel Kavdejkin" departed from Saint-Petersburg port, made the passage round Scandinavia and arrived to Murmansk port on August 17th, 2013. 

Nowadays, the vessels of MPSV07  project are the biggest and the most significant vessels built at the expense of Federal Target Program "Russian Transport System Development (2010-2015)". 
 
The Customer - the Direction of State Contractor of Marine Transport Development Program of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency of Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Vessel’s major characteristics: length - about 73 m, beam - approximately 16.60 m, knots, depth – 6.7 m, working draugts – 4.0 – 5.1 m, propulsive output- 4 MWt, maximum speed - 15, endurance - 20 days, crew - 20 persons, Class: КМ (*) Arc5 [1] AUT1-ICS OMBO FF3WS DYNPOS-2 EPP Salvage ship.

The MPSV07 Project vessels are intended for patrol, search and rescue duty in the areas of shipping, fisheries, offshore oil and gas fields, technical support and assistance in areas dangerous for shipping and fishing, for support of transport operations at the ports;  search and assistance to vessels in distress; search, rescue and evacuation to safety of crew members, refloat of stricken vessels, pumping of water from flooded compartments of such vessels and towing them to shelter. The ships are able to escort (or rescue) vessels, offshore drilling rigs / GBS both in ice and open water, to assist in extinguishing fires on offshore and onshore facilities. search, rescue and evacuation of people; refloat from ground damaged vessels and their towing; fire fighting on vessels, fire fighting of fuel burning on water; diving support at depths of 60 meters; for deep-sea diving at depths of 300 meters; for oil spill response (OSR) operations; bottom inspection and cleaning; inspection of seabed and damaged facilities at depth of up to 1,000 m.

The second vessel of project MPSV07, M/V Spasatel Kavdejkin (construction number 702) was laid down on April 6, 2010, she was launched on July 29, 2011, put into operation on July 19, 2013.

Nevsky Shipyard LLC, a subsidiary of JSC North-Western Shipping Company (part of UCL Holding), is located 40 km from Saint-Petersburg in Shlisselburg on the left bank of the Neva River. The company has been engaged in shipbuilding since 1952. Nevsky Shipyard builds sea-going and river vessels of various types and purposes and provides all kinds of ship repair. Nevsky Shipyard’s slipway allows launching and lifting for repair 140-m-long vessels with dock weight of up to 3,000 tonnes.
