Sredne-Nevskiy Shipyard OJSC (SNSY, part of United Shipbuilding Corporation) laid down the sixth push tug boat of project 81 on August 23, 2013. It is the last boat in the series supplied under the contract with P.TransCo LLC signed in February 2013, says press center of USC.
The delivery of the series is to be completed by June 2014. The project is being financed by Gazprombankleasing LLC.
The boat features a friction coupler of ARTICOUPLER KVC3545 type produced by Taisei Engineering Consultant Inc (Japan). The vessel’s full displacement is 365 tonnes, length - 25 m, breadth - 10 m. It is designed for pushing and emergency towing of project 82 barges with total displacement of about 5,200 tonnes and speed of 10 knots. The vessel’s design meets the requirements of class М3.0 (ice 10) А (Russian River Register).
Sredne-Nevskiy Shipyard (Saint-Petersburg) was founded in 1912. It has already built over 500 ships and vessels to 43 different projects for RF Navy and foreign customers. Currently, the shipyard builds missile boats, minesweepers, passenger and work vessels of different purposes and is getting ready for a large-scale construction of the new generation mine countermeasures ships for RF Navy and foreign customers.
