Russian Shipyard Pella based in Leningrad region, has completed the builder’s sea trials of Raptor, a flagship of a series of high-speed patrol boats of project 03160. The ship was designed and built for the Russian Navy, the shipbuilding firm said in a press release.
The boat is designed to perform day and night missions for fast landing of at least 20 personnel and taking them aboard, patrolling and interception in designated areas, and rescue people.
The ship’s navigation area 100 miles from her base, in littoral zone of the seas, straits and estuaries during the ice-free shipping season.
Ship’s general characteristics:
LOA - 16.7 m, beam (molded) - 4 m, draft - 0.85 m, operational speed - 48 knots, displacement - 23 tonnes, complement - 2, special personnel – 20.
The ship is scheduled for delivery in September 2013.
